NOTE:
IF YOU LIVE IN AN APARTMENT, OR WITH OTHER PEOPLE (ROOMMATES, FAMILY, SIGNIFICANT OTHERS, ETC) CHECK WITH YOUR LANDLORD OR ROOMMATES BEFORE PURCHASING A PUPPY.
TempermentThe temperment of our "shortie" Jack Russell Terriers is very sweet and much calmer than the Parson Jack Russell Terrier. The "shortie" was bred primarily for a pet and companion dog and is usually seen around horses and stables. They make a wonderful companion for young and old and get along very well with children and other pets. The "shortie" makes a great pet whether you live in an apartment or your own home with a backyard. They love to go for walks and sit on your lap and watch TV. They are a very devoted family dog.
SizeThe size of the "shortie" is approximately 10-11 inches at the shoulder and their weight is usually around 12-13 pounds. As you can see they are a small but sturdy breed. They are easily trained and extremly smart.
Colors and Coat StylesThe "shortie" or sometimes called a "puddin'" Jack, comes in a wide variety of colors and coat styles. The basic colors are more than fifty percent white with patches of tan, brown or black. Some "shorties" have coloring only on their head while most of their body is pure white. Their coat is usually very short, but they also come in a broken coat which is a slightly longer than average coat.
SheddingShedding is extremly minimal on the "shortie" with daily brushing and a bath with a good puppy shampoo every few weeks. Your "shortie" will look and feel great. That is all the grooming required.
Prices and ShippingOur "shorties" are priced competitively and the price includes their first vaccination, worming and tail docking. If you live in the tri-state area you can always pick up your puppy at our home and save shipping costs. If you live in the tri-state area, but cannot make it to our home, we will meet you at a middle point, in which case a service fee would be assessed.
